Support SIMS
To provide the facilities our scientists require to conduct their important work we must look beyond our University Members for further support and in the future we will be relying more and more on public and private funding.
Through our community network SIMS can offer different degrees of commitment and as we are a "Deductible Gift Recipient" all donations over $2 are tax deductible.
SIMS can offer members of the community that wish to take a responsible stand four different opportunities to become actively involved. We offer three different areas for support for those that would like continuing involvement which are listed below, or if you would prefer you may wish to make a one off donation to the institute.
FutureMaker
who will help shape the history of SIMS. Through a single contribution of $5,000 you will be placed on the limited list of 20 FutureMakers - those founder members who will jumpstart SIMS in its research. FutureMakers will be Patrons for life.Payments can be made online using PayPal by clicking on the "Pay Now" button below.
Patrons need only commit to $1,000 per annum for three years - or more!

There are benefits and the most important is the knowledge that you will be playing a major role in Australia's scientific history. But apart from this reassurance, depending on what level you commit to, you will be:
- Invited to join a group of research scientists for a day
- Among the first to learn of internationally important ground-breaking results of the research undertaken at the institute.
- Invited to special family tours to meet scientists and view their research
- Invited to lectures from local and international marine researchers
- Invited to attend the Annual Dinner
We have a number of options available to you if you wish to support the institute. If you wish to pay online using PayPal, please click on the appropriate button above. If you don't wish to pay online, you may pay by credit card either over the phone or in person, alternatively you may post a cheque to the institute.
